Plugged In
I have been obsessed with this website ever since I first found it years and years ago. Basically any movie/tv show/music that comes out will be reviewed on this website. BUT the website is a Focus on the Family thing, so the reviews are written from a super-Christian standpoint.
Not only do you get to see if the movie/music is good quality, it will also point out all the problem areas that you, as a Christian, would be concerned with. A great safe way to keep up with what is out there.
MSN
Everything…news, current events, random interesting stories….great place to browse around (and maybe get ideas for blog posts).
I am sure there are other websites like this, maybe even better ones, but I always do MSN because back in the dark ages when I used internet explorer that was always the first page to pop up.
Clothed Much
Elane, the author of this blog, is a Morman woman who is obsessed with clothes and dresses (relatively) modestly. Hmm. Amy and I often mock her style/poses etc but we both read her stuff. I think it is because we find fashion, and what other people choose to wear, interesting, but we don’t want to see all the skin presented on regular fashion blogs.
Also, she has an interesting writing style.
Bailey and me 2 and Frame of Mind
http://shelleysmucker.blogspot.com/
These two are listed together because they are BOTH blogs by chic Mennonite ladies who are good writers with amazing fashion/home decorating sense. Oh, and they have little girls.
Shelley (Frame of Mind) is my cousin’s wife. Jenny (Bailey and Me 2) is someone whom I have never met. But I love her blog.
Better After
http://betterafter.blogspot.com/
So basically this lady has a blog where she finds before and after pictures of furniture/rooms on other blogs, and re-posts them on her blog, so that everything is all in one place and people like me can have inspiration for re-decorating every single day.
Whispered Longings and Bleak Balloons
http://whisperedlonging.wordpress.com/
http://bleakballoons.wordpress.com/
These two blogs read like poetry. I can’t think of any other adequate way to describe them. If you don’t like poetry you will read these blogs and discover that you do like poetry after all.
The change is a prickle in the atmosphere, like silent gas seeping into a room…
…
ENOUGH I will have to do a Part 2 sometime. Because I am tired. And I like a lot of websites.
Stay tuned, check out the websites I posted, and feel free to comment with websites that you enjoy!
Fantastic post! I subscribed to at least 3 of these blogs. Excited to hear more from you.
A stranger.

My mouth is hanging open. Poetry?
I never guessed anyone would ever use that word in association with me.
But it has totally just made my morning burst with smiles. π

You have such a cool blog, Emily! It’s highly entertaining! I’ve just been looking at some of your posts that I “missed.” Did you know that your book is on Goodreads and there are people that are fans of your book, and there’s a profile for author Emily Smucker, and it says “is this you?” because YOU haven’t been there to say “no, it’s ME! π Just thought I’d let you know! http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2899270.Emily_Smucker
